Christian Education

CANCELLATIONS DUE TO BAD WEATHER

With winter upon us, there is always the question of if/when our Christian Education and/or worship activities will be cancelled.  Here are our guidelines for both Penn-Zion’s and Brush Creek:
For our Christian Education activities, if the Penn-Trafford School District closes for the day, there will be NO Christian Education activity that day or evening.  If the Penn-Trafford School District closes school early due to ice or snow, there will be no Christian Education that evening.

As for worship on Sunday morning, please tune in to KDKA and watch/listen for your congregation to be listed.  Penn-Zion’s and Brush Creek have separate listings with KDKA.  Wednesday worship services tend to follow the Christian Education guideline above, but more often than not, Pastor Steiner will try to be present for the Wednesday evening services at Zion’s at 7:00 PM.

AS ALWAYS, IF YOU DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE COMING OUT IN INCLEMENT WEATHER TO ANY OF OUR CHURCH ACTIVITIES, PLEASE BE SAFE AND STAY HOME.  THERE WILL BE OTHER OPPORTUNITIES FOR WORSHIP, STUDY, AND FELLOWSHIP

CHANGE OF SCHEDULE FOR WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 27th

So that people may have time to prepare for family and loved ones, and/or to travel for the Thanksgiving Holiday, there will be NO CHRISTIAN EDUCATION ACTIVITIES (includes Bible study) OR WORSHIP SERVICE ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 27th  at both Penn-Zion’s & Brush Creek.  May God bless you and your family in this time of thanking God for all he has done for us.

BIBLE STUDY

Wednesday morning bible study at Brush Creek is every Wednesday at 10 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Friday morning bible study at Penn-Zions in Harrison City is every Friday from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Also please note there will be no Bible study sessions from Sunday, December 22 until after New Year’s Day.

LEARN & GROW WEDNESDAYS

Wednesday evenings have been busy downstairs at Zion’s with Learn & Grow Wednesdays, our alternative to Sunday School for all of our parish children 2 years through 5th grade.  These classes held at 5:45 p.m. have been a fun-filled hour learning Bible stories and what it means to follow Jesus.  Please keep in mind that if the Penn-Trafford School District is off or has a half day for a holiday, cancelled classes for the day or students are sent home early due to weather related concerns, we will not be meeting that evening.  At this time there will be NO CLASSES on November 6 & 27, December 25, and January 1.
